# BOTTOMLEY TIED FOR LEAD IN HOME RUNS

CHICAGO, April 19\. — With the major league baseball season less than a week old, the veteran [Cy William](https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/w/willicy01.shtml?ref=diamondghosts.com)s of the Phillies, [Jimmy Bottomley](https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bottoji01.shtml?ref=diamondghosts.com) of the St. Louis Cardinals, and [Pat Collins,](https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/collipa01.shtml?ref=diamondghosts.com) Yankees, lead the home run hitting in the two major circuits with two round trips each. Babe Ruth, Yankee home run ing, has not yet broken into the elect.

Home run hitters so far are:
