CHICAGO, April 19. — With the major league baseball season less than a week old, the veteran Cy Williams of the Phillies, Jimmy Bottomley of the St. Louis Cardinals, and Pat Collins, Yankees, lead the home run hitting in the two major circuits with two round trips each. Babe Ruth, Yankee home run ing, has not yet broken into the elect.

Home run hitters so far are:

NATIONAL—Bottomley, St. Louis, 2; Williams, Philadelphia, 2; Freigau, Chicago; Johnson, Boston; Picinich, Cincinnati; Bigbee of Pittsburg, Leach of Philadelphia, and Jackson and Snyder of New York, one each.

AMERICAN—Collins, 2, and Gehrig and Meusel, all of New York, one each.
